Life Is on Standby - Release Notes
I started writing this song on a hot, record-breaking, summer day. I recorded the dreamy drums, bass and piano, then stood up at the mic and sang the first things that came into my head. Amazingly those lyrics were pretty good! They seemed to perfectly capture my languid mood on such a hot day. The electric guitars have a summery, shimmery feel to them and the vocals ooze with dreamy reverb (similar to that used by Lennon). There's also my first ever sax solo - so check it out!
