The Other Side Of the Storm
I was based in Houston Texas for 25 years. I worked there, made lifelong friends there, and met and married my wife there. Hurricane Harvey impacted so many of my old friends that I rush-released this song in the summer of 2017 so that I could donate all the proceeds to the American Red Cross for relief efforts. This is an uplifting rock ballad about recovering lives and relationships after a devastating storm. I added a twangy Telecaster guitar, so I guess it's best categorized as a country-rock song.
